I finished my Lightning!  Thanks again for that iron.  That OT must have been the missing link.  This thing sounds very good and interestingly enough the voltages read exactly the same as they do on the schematic you gave me.  I am going to try it out tonight with the band.  I am loving this thing.  It can go from crystalline clear to quite fuzzy.  Wonderful stuff.

 

If I need anymore I will surely let you know.

Dave,

I received the switch samples last week, and they look good.  I would like
to order 30 pieces of the SPST switch.  How much do you need for shipping?
I'll be happy to send Paypal as soon as you give me a grand total.

BTW, that progressive switch really is cool.  I'd like one more of those
please.  I'm going to use the two in a pair of mono bloc audio amps I am
building for my own use in the living room.

I'm so happy with my "Spitfire" that I made with your trannies that I'm
thinking very hard about making a 30 watter.  Do you have any idea where
I might find "BMI" branded electrolytics?  They look just like Spragues,
but are in slightly different values.

As I emailed you before, my 15 watter sounds really very good and I'm
impressed that I could get such a great sounding amp for so little
outlay - just a lot of work!

Hey Dave I just wanted to let you know that I completed my client's amp and it sounds amazing so far. He is very happy with the tone and feel of the amp.

The transformers are working perfectly, with the PT putting out the exact voltages as the spec sheet and the OT sounding as crystal as could be with perfect breakup.

The OT and choke arrived yesterday. I installed the OT last night. It sounds
FANTASTIC. What a difference the OT makes.

You really have the right to say that it is "The Best" 15watt OT out there.
It's just great.

Does the 5 watter sound just as good?
